Class Styles

Lakewood Yoga offers daily yoga classes. Students of all experience levels and backgrounds are welcome to attend. Scroll below to read about our class styles and levels.

Sunrise Yoga and Meditation – This is a gentle practiced designed to help you start your day in the most wonderful way. Enjoy intentional breath and movement, and end in a sound-bath savasana.

Beginner Yoga for Every BODY – This is a beginner friendly yoga practice where students can expect more cues, instruction, and guidance in each pose. Students of all experience levels are welcome to this class.

Hatha Yoga – Combining meditation, pranayama (breathing techniques), and postures, this practice builds strength in both the mind and in the body. This is a traditional form of yoga. Students can expect to rest after most postures to let their energy settle. End this wonderful practice with a nice, long savasana of 10-15 minutes.

Yoga for Stress Relief – Focusing on breath and mindful movement, this class is tailored to ease your stress and soothe anxiety by balancing the mind and body.

All Levels Vinyasa Yoga – Working with the breath and movement, these classes create heat in the body and build strength for those of all experience levels.

Power Yoga – An active and athletic, Western style of yoga. Power yoga classes move quickly through the poses and each pose is only held for three to five breaths.

Hot Power Yoga – An active and athletic, Western style of yoga. Power yoga classes move quickly through the poses and each pose is only held for three to five breaths. Room is heated to a warmer temperature to increase detoxification and flexibility.

Warm Slow Flow – This practice will challenge the body and mind through a combination of meditation, mindful movements, and static postures to help us unlock the resilience deeply rooted within. Room is heated to a warmer temperature to increase detoxification and flexibility.

Yin Yoga – Mindful stretching, targeting the connective tissues of the body. This practice encourages a free flow of Qi, prana, or energy throughout the body. Floor postures are held for several minutes and awareness is centered on sensation throughout the body.

Yoga Nidra – Also known as yogic sleep, this practice offers deep relaxation to both the mind and body. This is a meditative practice suitable for all.

Lunch Break Express Flow – Enjoy a quick practice to boost your energy and calm the mind. This class is perfect for those with a case of the “Mondays”.

Kundalini Yoga – Working with mantras, chanting, kriyas, and postures, to can expect an eclectic practice that invigorates and energizes the chakras and the body.

Happy Hour Yoga – Celebrate yourself and the end of a work week with this upbeat vinyasa style yoga class. The teacher provides a specially themed and curated playlist each week to make this class feel more like a party!

Prenatal Yoga – Led by a holistic doula, expecting mothers will be guided through a safe practice designed to help manage the changes happening in your body and mind during this special time.

Family Yoga – Bring the whole family to this class! Kids attend free with any adult membership or pass purchase.

Our Studio

Lakewood Yoga is located at 13348 Madison Avenue. We are a community-centered space. We provide gently used yoga mats and other props for you to use during class, however, we always encourage you to bring your own.

Studio Policies

Pre-Registration Required: This is a cashless studio. All students are required to pre-register on our website in order to attend classes.

Door Locks at Class Start Time: In order to keep all of the students’ belongings safe, our teachers lock the door promptly when the class begins. Some teachers will wait up to five minutes after the class time before starting and locking the door. However, please keep in mind that you should arrive before the class start time to avoid being locked out. We apologize in advanced for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for understanding, as this is an effort to keep everyone’s belongings safe!

Waivers: You will be asked to complete an electronic waiver via our booking software, Tula.

Cancellation Policy: If for some reason you cannot attend class, please cancel your reservation at least thirty minutes prior to the class start time. If you do not cancel with at least thirty minutes notice, you may still have a class credit deducted from your account.

Auto Renewing Memberships:  If you need to cancel an auto-renewing membership, please provide us 30 days written notice via email to lakewoodyogastudio@gmail.com to terminate your auto-renewing membership.
